Join us for introductory classes
Sequential beginner classes will focus on explaining the big-picture and scope of taijiquan. Students will use taiji-based movements based on the posture "Grasp the Bird's Tail" (peng, lu, ji, an) to help them understand the principles of the art and prepare them to join a continuation class. This class may also include an introduction to cooperative push hands exercises, time permitting.
The art of taijiquan uses the philosophy of yin and yang to find balance in yourself and balance with the world around you. There are many studies showing that taijiquan is unique in its ability to nourish and preserve your health. Originally developed as a martial art, it has elevated its purpose to being a great way to stay bright, balanced and strong regardless of your age.
